Abstract: Aiming at the deficiencies of piling up instructional materials and personalized is simplified existing in the current E-learning system, this paper designs a novel system of personalized E-learning based on Web 2.0 and ontology retrieval, by the application of Ajax and RSS feed and ontology technologies making the system according to the learner’s knowledge structure, learning objectives, learning styles, preferences and other information providers to adapt to learner characteristics of teaching methods and learning resources, and creates a personalized Web learning environment. Experimental results show the system can improve the quality of international learning efficiently and meets the requirements of the students learning needs.
